PELĖDA (OWL) – Object ofthe Digital Exhibition “METAKERAMIKA”
Author: Kristina Motuzienė, ceramics master and reconstructor of ancient household ceramics
The Owl is one of the central elements of the exhibition “METAKERAMIKA”, serving as a link between traditional clay craftsmanship and the world of digital projections. Kristina Motuzienė’s work echoes the archetypal symbolism of the owl—wisdom, silent observation, and knowledge shaped through long engagement with the material. Her experience in reconstructing historical household ceramics is woven into the object, giving it a sense of archaic durability and layered temporality.
Within the digital environment, the owl transforms into a new visual form: its relief surfaces are accentuated by holographic light, while shifting shadows create an illusion of movement. The object thus becomes a bridge between the physical tradition of ceramics and contemporary technologies, generating a new mode of storytelling.
GYVYBĖ (LIVING ESSENCE) – an object from the digital exhibition “METAKERAMIKA”
Author: Ramūnė Pranckevičiūtė, ceramic artist, member of the Artists’ Union, art teacher
Life is one of the most symbolic compositions in the exhibition. The work unfolds as an organic, pulsating origin, while its digital transformation emphasises the cyclical nature of life—growth, rhythm, and transformation. Here, ceramics become an intermediary between humans and nature, between everyday reality and metaphor.
The digital visualisation, functioning as a second layer of the artwork, introduces a sense of energy and movement: lines shift and pulsate, and the structure appears alive and continuously evolving. This interpretation invites the viewer to perceive life not only as a form, but as a constantly renewing state.

Household Vessels / Black Pottery
Author: Kristina Motuzienė, ceramics master and reconstructor of historical household ceramics
This traditional household vessel made in black pottery represents one of the most archaic branches of Lithuanian craft. Black pottery is a firing technique rooted in centuries-old tradition, and in the hands of Kristina Motuzienė it is revived with fidelity to historical authenticity.
The object demonstrates how a form that was once purely functional can today become a cultural symbol. Within the digital context of the exhibition, these vessels act as a bridge between past technologies and contemporary digital possibilities. Light projections reveal the structure of the surface, allowing the viewer to experience the materiality of clay in an unfamiliar and immersive way.
